Welcome! I love cooking...in fact, it's my job! I am a Food Service Specialist in the United States Coast Guard (hence, "Semper Paratus", Always Ready), but I have been cooking as long as I have been able to reach the counter and grab hold of a spoon ("et coctus", and cooking). I have created this blog in an effort to document my cooking escapades...both at work (serving anywhere between 30-150 hungry service members) and at home (serving one hungry husband and occasionally friends and family). I tend to use my home kitchen as a test kitchen, trying out new recipes and crossing my fingers and hoping for the best :) Feel free to leave comments, questions, or just follow along as I share my culinary thoughts and creations!
